The Coastal Plains
The Coastal Plains stretched from Maine to Texas on the eastern coast of the USA are flat, in general soil is very poor.
The Appalachian Mountains
The Appalachian Mountains are situated on the western edge of Atlantic coastal plain. The Appalachian Mountains are the
most accessible containers of iron and coal.
The Rockies
The Rockies are situated on the eastern border of Cordillera. This is a chain of high mountains stretching from
mountainous Alaska down to Mexico, rise sharply from the Great Plains. Many important metals, such as lead, uranium and
gold are contained in these mountains.
